Denver Bacon & Beer Festival Recap

16 Dec

Last Sunday, Forkly, along with Eat Boston and Denver Off the Wagon, hosted Denver’s inaugural Bacon & Beer Festival!

We over bacon-ed, over beer-ed and were in a food coma for much of Sunday.

photo (33)The festival was held at Mile High Station, which made for the perfect venue. The great space allowed for over 875 bacon and beer enthusiasts to take shelter from the cold day and warm up with creative and insanely-delicious bacon dishes and beer!

Some great surprises during the day too– like the best dressed attendees, who came all decked out!

The dishes, beer, restaurants and breweries were amazing and the crowd was spectacular! Thank you to all who attended and in particular to the hard working restaurants and brewers–many of whom gave up their day off to be there with us all.

Enjoy some fun food, brewer, and chef reviews from Eater Denver and Westword’s Cafe Society…as well as some fun Westword photos, too. Take a peek below at some of the tastes posted by Forkly friends– and Cheers to more Forkly feasts & fests in 2013!

Forkly Adds 2700+ Beers as the Guide for the Great American Beer Festival

12 Oct

If you or some of your friends are attending the Great American Beer Festival this weekend, we’ve added 2700+ beers into the system to keep track of your beer wants, tastes, and notes (includes beer list from this year and from users’ posts last year). An efficient way of recording favorites and unique tastes at the festival, the beers can be found under “Great American Beer Festival in Denver” when you search in Discover–and once browsed through, they’re available offline too (ie. if you’re having trouble with cell service within the Colorado Convention Center, you can still taste & rate on your Forkly account).

How to Make Use of the GABF Beer List within Forkly:

When you tap on an individual beer itself, it’ll show you where to find the brewers’ booth within the GABF hall:

You can also sort the list by beers you have bookmarked within the app in the past:

And beers you have tasted & rated in the past:

Enjoy! And don’t forget to take advantage of the UBER-Forkly Deal within the feed ($20 off car service for festival attendees!), the Great Divide giveaways. And if you’re looking for food advice (coffee, brunch, and favorite dishes) from locals, read the previous blog posts–we’ve got you covered! Cheers!!

11 Oct
